1) That the colony was founded to buffer the prescence of the newly built French fortress Louisbourg which had been built to protect the entrance to the St. Lawrence in Cape Breton.
2) how Cornwallis placed a bounty of ten pounds sterling on MicMac scalps, and
3) that the Acadians had thiry years of peace after the founding of Halifax and that throughout numerous "take-overs" had never fought for any side.
